about us

foodspring and the NASFT
our mission

Brought to you by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT), a non-profit organization comprised of more than 2,700 producers of hand-crafted, natural, organic and ethnic foods, foodspring.com™ provides an insider’s look at these specialty foods and the people who make them. Since 1952, the NASFT has cultivated strong relationships with a countless number of domestic and international food producers, specialty food stores, restaurants, famed chefs and culinary schools—all helping it stay in the lead on what is new and exciting in the world of food. Bringing the food industry together every year with its bi-annual Fancy Food Shows, a trade-only event, the NASFT has also helped build the food culture we now see by giving small producers the opportunity to make an impact in the highly competitive food market.

Now, with the recent launch of foodspring.com, our food writers are sharing the insight and stories we have gathered through these relationships. Simply put, foodspring.com is about great food made by great people.

For those who like to “play with their food,” you’ll find selections from near and far; entertaining tips and recipes; out-of-the-ordinary food products; gift ideas, hot new food trends and more. We will also host promotions and discounts from NASFT member companies from time to time, so check out our site regularly and don’t miss out!
