about the Specialty Food Association

The Specialty Food Association (formerly NASFT) is a not-for-profit trade association of more than 2,900 independent, innovative businesses committed to bringing great foods to market. It is a diverse community of passionate and creative entrepreneurs who fuel the innovation and authenticity found in food today. With member companies from around the world, the Specialty Food Association mission is to foster trade, commerce and interest in the $70 billion specialty food industry. The association hosts two trade-only events each year, the Fancy Food Shows, the largest specialty food and beverage exhibitions in the U.S. Additionally, the Association produces magazines, newsletters and online material for the trade and hosts the annual sofi™ Awards, the highest honor in the specialty food industry.
