A family recipe for hot cakes passed down for generations inspired this pancake and waffle mix. The founder’s mother turned the recipe into a dry mix to sell to neighbors; years later she encouraged her sons to start the business, even coming up with the company name—Baker Mills, after the maiden names of her mother and grandmother. Today the mix is selling like, well, hot cakes, and the newest flavor, Buttermilk & Honey, stays true to the recipe of all-natural ingredients including 100 percent whole-grain wheat and oat flours, and adding nonfat sweet cream buttermilk.
