The Gracious Gourmet - Spiced Sour Cherry Spread

“Shoppers today are keen on looking at ingredients,” says Nancy Wekselbaum, founder of the Connecticut-based business, “and are asking themselves, Is this something I want to put into my body?” The answer is an enthusiastic yes when it comes to the Spiced Sour Cherry Spread. This 2011 sofi Gold Award Winner uses all-natural ingredients, has no preservatives and is low in fat and sodium. Plus, it is vegan and gluten-free.

The product uses European Morello cherries—which are more intensely flavored than their American counterpart—as well as dried Michigan cherries, and minimal sugar, water and thickener. “We use the real product, and a lot of it,” Wekselbaum says.
