Doughnuts

Jelly, chocolate...sweet potato?
user rating
0.0 out of 5 stars(0)

Doughnuts are hard to dislike, whether they're filled with jelly or covered in chocolate...or made from sweet potatoes. Powerhouse restaurant in Chicago has cornered the market on the Sweet Potato Doughnut, according to the Sun Times. These mini doughnuts are topped with confectioner's sugar or cinnamon and served on a Cinnamon Sabayon (egg yolk mousse). Diced tart apples and pumpkin seeds complete theDoughnuts dish. They're a far cry from mass-produced flavored doughnuts as they're made from a sweet potato puree and mixed with flour and other natural ingredients before they're fried in vegetable oil.
