A delicious way to make a difference
user rating
Give the gift of chocolate on Valentine's Day, but do it with a company that gives back. Athena Chocolate, the newest arm of Athena Partners®, known for its socially conscious Athena bottled water, is a premium line of chocolate that gives back 100 percent of net profits to support breast cancer research and education. The new line was specially created for Athena by master chocolatier Dilettante Chocolates, and gives people an easy way to make a difference every day. Try Athena Cherries in Premium Dark Chocolate: Northwest Bing cherries surrounded by 61 percent premium dark cacao. Each 24-ounce bag contains 102 cherries ($8.89) or Athena Chocolate Truffles, all-natural dark chocolate truffles made with 55 percent cacao and all-natural cherry flavor. Available in a 4-ounce box with 12 individually wrapped truffles (starting at $4.99) or in a 24-ounce jar containing 72 truffles (starting at $17.99). As a not-for-profit social enterprise, the organization creates products for the sole purpose of raising awareness and funds to help find a cure for women's cancers. Since 2003, Athena Partners' bottled water business donated more than $150,000 in funds toward leading cancer research. The new Athena Chocolate brand can add to the positive impact. The chocolate line is available in more than 1,000 retail locations, including select Costco stores, Safeway stores in the Pacific Northwest, select Tully's Coffee stores, and served on Alaska Airlines flights. They can also be ordered online at www.costco.com, www.amazon.com, www.dilettante.com and at www.athenapartners.org. -Denise Shoukas
