Prepared from organic Palestinian wheat that is boiled, sun-dried and cracked, and hand-rolled in freshly ground organic whole wheat flour, then steamed and sun-dried, all by our women-owned cooperatives. Keeps best refrigerated or frozen for long-term storage.
Canaan Fair Trade is a social entrepreneurship firm dedicated to artisan-quality products based in Jenin, Palestine. The company sources its agricultural products from a network of 49 cooperatives organized in the Palestine Fair Trade Association with membership of 1,700 farm families. Canaan products are certified Fair Trade, USDA organic and are found in specialty and organic shops throughout the U.S. and Europe. Canaan's olives and extra-virgin olive oils are highly prized for the wider impact they have on the producers' communities through Fair Trade practices. Other products include sweet and savory spreads, whole grain and hand-rolled couscous, and handmade za'atar.
