Haute N the Kitchen
A peek at Heather Antonelli's new book.
user ratingIf you have something to share, self publishing is a great way to do it. Heather Antonelli shares her globally inspired ideas for entertaining in her self-published book Haute N the Kitchen: Entertaining inspired by my travels & traditions ($24.99, BookSurge Publishing). Separated into 18 creative menus that encourage readers to explore more exotic flavors and foods from other cultures, it’s particularly useful for those who are seeking inspiration as they expand their repertoire. With each menu, she includes a preparation and cooking game plan that consists of a complete design and décor theme inspired from global influences along with details on everything from the invitations and placecards to flowers and take-away favors. She even includes a suggested downloadable play list of music for each menu.
Antonelli is sensitive to budgetary concerns. In an effort to ensure each event fits just about any budget, she offers several economical options for each menu. “The menus are representative of a well-traveled palate and each aims to combine global flavors in compatible ways, sure to please even the most finicky guest,” Antonelli states.
In addition to being a cook and author, Antonelli is a furniture and textile designer, visual merchandiser and has recently launched Gypsy Faire Tents, a luxury outdoor design company specializing in garden and special-event tents and textile design.
