The ultimate feud in liquid food may finally come to an end. Hawgs NewHattan Clam Chowder aims for the marriage of creamy New England chowder and tomatoey Manhattan chowder. Leave it to a Californian to find a common ground between the rivals: Steve Hardin, owner of Hawgs Seafood Bar in Campbell, Calif., concocted the blend, which calls for sea clams, potatoes, cream and tomatoes, with a few helpings of veggies and seasonings for a creamy, rich soup that both sides of the fence will love.
