Sisters-in-law and partners Pam Kraemer and Alison Auth took a seemingly basic condiment and turned it on its head to create a product using only natural ingredients and adding a twist. “Too often conventional ketchup uses preservatives, emulsifiers, high-fructose corn syrup or excessive sweeteners and things you can’t pronounce,” says Auth. They believed a wider audience would appreciate an exotic ketchup alternative, especially one that was all natural and gluten-free with no preservatives or GMOs.

Sweetened with cane sugar, Mild Indian Curry Ketchup is a marriage between Dulcet’s curry sauce and Kraemer’s ketchup recipe. It is less pungent than some curries and less overpowering with tomatoes than conventional ketchups. And it’s more than a condiment, Kraemer notes.

“The multiple applications—from being a base for stir-fries, soups and stews to glazing shrimps or ribs on the barbecue” are what make this ketchup so appealing to pro and home chefs alike.—Nicole Potenza Denis

How to Enjoy It: Spice up sweet-potato fries, lamb, sausages, steak, shrimp or stuffed peppers. Mix in with homemade meatballs, or just use it for an added kick to any of your favorite ketchup-dipping foods.

MSRP: $6/14 oz. bottle
