Migliore Gourmet Foods is based on my father’s gift for sausage making. For more than 50 years, my first-generation Italian father, Battista Pruneri, worked at a small Italian market in Guasti, Calif., where he became famous for his sausage making. Among our first product offerings, I selected eight of my father’s seasoning blends used in his sausage recipes. The newest addition to our line is a Jalapeno Fig Jam, another “original” family recipe. Made with all-natural ingredients, including California-grown Mission figs, jalapenos and white balsamic vinegar imported from Modena, Italy, and infused with pomegranate juice.
