White Organic Ohia Lehua Honey
user rating
The Lehua blossom, which blooms in the Big Island's Ohia forests in late May and June, is indigenous to Hawaii. We harvest the honey in July and have to bottle our entire production immediately because this honey crystallizes within three weeks of being extracted from the hive. The natural crystallization produces a white, finely grained, chewable honey. White and green organic tea enthusiasts love it as it doesn't overwhelm the taste of the tea, allowing both to be savored at the same time.
Flowers are to honey as grapes are to wine, and nectar from Hawaii's rare flowers produce some of the most distinctive and flavorful honeys. Our beautifully packaged single floral Hawaiian honeys are a delicious way to share and explore Hawaii.
